As a general rule, we recommend booking 6 to 9 months in advance, especially for our most popular tours and peak season dates which fill up quickly. For our more complex international expeditions like Patagonia or trips to Nepal, booking 9 to 12 months ahead is ideal. This not only secures your spot but also gives you ample time for physical preparation, arranging flights at better prices, and allows us to handle the intricate logistics of permits and local bookings. While we can sometimes accommodate last-minute bookings, planning ahead ensures the best possible experience and preparation time.

We understand that plans can change, and our cancellation policy is designed to be as fair as possible while accounting for the significant non-recoverable costs we incur during planning. Cancellations made more than 90 days before departure are eligible for a full refund of the trip cost, minus the non-refundable deposit. Cancellations between 60-90 days receive a 50% refund. Within 60 days, the payment is non-refundable. For this reason, we strongly require all clients to purchase comprehensive travel insurance that includes trip cancellation, trip interruption, and medical evacuation coverage to protect your investment from unforeseen circumstances.

Don't be discouraged if your desired date is marked as 'Full'! We recommend two things: First, click to join the free waitlist. We will notify you immediately on a first-come, first-served basis if a spot becomes available due to a cancellation. Second, contact our team directly. We can advise on other available dates for the same tour, suggest a similar expedition that you might love even more, or discuss the possibility of creating a private departure for your group. We are experts at finding solutions and are always happy to help you find the perfect adventure.
